Clearwater, FL (LifeNews.com) -- For a second time, Circuit Court Judge Douglas Baird has prevented the parents of Terri Schiavo from joining Governor Jeb Bush in defending Terri's Law.
Baird prevented Robert and Mary Schindler from participating in November 2003 and the Schindlers appealed his decision. A Florida appeals court last month rebuked Baird and said he failed to follow proper guidelines when dismissing the intervention request.
That didn't stop Baird from denying a second request to participate.
Baird said the legal rights of the Shindlers were not affected by the outcome of the case, which concerns a law passed by the state legislature authorizing Governor Bush to ask doctors to reinsert the feeding tube that is providing Terri with nutrition.
"In order for the Schindlers to be entitled to intervene in this cause, they must demonstrate an interest in the matter in litigation of such a direct and immediate character that they will either gain or lose by the direct legal operation and effect of judgment," Baird wrote in his opinion.
Terri's father Robert Schindler, told LifeNews.com that he and Mary have tremendous interest in Terri's well-being -- more so than Terri's estranged husband Michael.
"Imagine being told that you have no interest in your own child," Terri's father told LifeNews.com. "I just cannot understand why this court continues to deny our daughter protection but affords so much to her guardian."
"Terri is our daughter, our eldest child and a human being that we are bound to by both love and responsibility," Robert continued. "I just can't understand how any judge would think that her mother and I have no interest in protecting her life."
A pro-life law firm that is handling the intervention request for the Schindlers says it is considering appealing Baird's decision.
"We are disappointed with the decision ...

All of what you said could be true. The "judges" could just be megalomaniacs in the tradition of their mentor Caligula of ancient Rome! For sure, these "men" are power-mad pond scum unworthy of the name "judge." Shame on FL voters for putting this trash in positions of authority over them.

You're right about perfect strangers demanding that poor Terri die. The Bible addresses such "people." It says that in the last days will come such "people" lacking "natural affection."

That's a very interesting insight! Do you have the scripture citation for that? It's unfamiliar to me.

Romans 1:31 speaks of the last days in which people (such as the opponents of Terri) will lack "natural affection" for others.

Why not take them both FV? Or make a new one that says NAZI FL Judges for the Hemlock Society!
People need to think hard about what is going on here. I've done some research, you know it as well, and we are on the fast track to the Nazi-like elimination of anyone who as they called them is a 'useless' eater.

In my opinion Baird is mentally impaired, (HELLO! he can't see that a parent would "loose" if their child is murdered) and unfit to sit the bench...
Or...is he dirty dirty dirty? Why would he rule in such a stupid manner, or hand down such an out-of-line decision unless he has made a personal decision to see Terri dead?
Does this guy think that the public has stopped watching him or has he just ceased to care?
To: russesjunjee
Baird could have delusions of grandeur -- I think Sandra Day O'Connor probably has such delusions too. Baird probably thinks that the public there would "not dare" remove him from the bench because he is such an "excellent" jurist. Baird probably has adopted as his motto: "I know best."

Certainly the "Republican" Douglas Baird lacks "natural affection" for others. Yet, I suspect that he often proclaims his support for programs to assist the disabled!!! People cannot understand the hypocrisy of this awful "Republican" man!

WE need to find out about Baird and any others up for reelection. I caught a piece on O'Reilly factor about the judge who wouldn't put Carlie Brucia's killer in jail in Dec. and the judge said O'Reilly was scum, and that judge is so far unopposed. Not sure if anyone posted that info yet but we need to be prepared quickly so we can get the word out well before elections.
Anyway I have begun a site to compile the info we've been collecting, it's no way finished but I did this because I know a lot of people who will read emails but not go to news sites on the web. I'm going to make a page to print cards with the site url so I can give them to people when I'm out and about. Hopefully by Mon., I'll have enough info on there to pursuade others to sign a petition. 8^}}
There are other issues in Florida which we need to keep an eye on and will add them as well. I'm convinced we must keep a closer on what's being passed before they pass it! Terri wouldn't be in such a predicament if it weren't for Sen. King's "legacy".

2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

I just mentioned the lack of "natural affection" because that seems to me to apply especially to Terri's fight. Terri's opponents believe that they are doing her a "service" by killing her. But would they advocate such an action if they were Terri? Doubtful, for they do lack "natural affection" for others in need.

We also saw the lack of "natural affection" with the woman who refused to Caesarian section, a "choice" that resulted in one of the twins being stillborn. She may have already lacked the "natural affection" of a mother.

What an absolute b@$t@rd! And I'm surprised that I continue to be astonished by it....

Based on your post #50 I know we are in the LAST days!
Perfect timing for "The Passion of the Christ" - the Father is giving us one last chance to stand with him rather then Satan.

If I lived in Florida, I'd vote every one of them disgusting liberal activist judges out!

I'd like to see the Schindler's attorney run against Greer, she might have a good chance.
"Vote for Pat, your life may depend on it" That could get Greer out and inform people about Terri.
To: pickyourpoison
Good point!
BTW, Judge Rapkin who freed Carlie's killer and went more than easy on other violent offenders, is running unopposed. Bi'' O'Reilly was outraged, suggested that someone should run against him. Same with the frightening Greer and others involved in a frenzy to have Terri die. They should be impeached. If not that, then at least challenged.
The problem is that we have been moving towards a dictatorship of judges. Unfortunately few realize how dangerous this is.

Don't the FL judges run without an opponent. Then if voters say "No" (which they rarely do), the governor nominates a successor who serves until a plebiscite in two years? How does it work there?
People seem to support these outrageous judges more than one would think. It's probably that the sheeple just don't know anything about the judges and routinely vote "Yes" to show the media that they are "positive."

I don't know how the system votes in Florida. I saw it on Bill O'Reilly who hoped that someone would run against Rapkin. He showed how they tried to interview Rapking. But that judge refused to talk to the woman reporter and started calling O'Reilly names.
