The greatest irony of the post-911 world...

"The greatest irony of the post-911 world is that so many Democrats hate the Bush Doctrine. Liberation, anti-proliferation, and nation-building are activist and liberal, not defensive and conservative. The perceived immorality of our actions may weigh heavily on their souls. But it's nothing compared to what we might have to face if our goal of limited war for democracy fails. If the Middle East gets nukes before it gets freedom, it will be extraordinarily difficult, if not impossible, to wage a war on liberal grounds. We'll be back where we were during the Cold War. The only difference is that the equation of Mutually Assured Destruction won't balance. Say what you will about the Communists. They did not want to martyr themselves to destroy us. If terrorists detonate a portable nuke in a Western city, what's left of the Terror War will be nasty, brutish, and short. The West's so-far limited response will instantly become total and, in effect, genocidal. Any and all WMD-producing states will be considered targets for a unilateral nuclear counterattack, starting with capital cities. The UN will not be consulted. Millions could die in a day."

Ain't that the truth.

The greatest irony of the post-911 world is that so many Democrats hate the Bush Doctrine.

Democrats, with a few notable exceptions, believe that the use of American military power in the pursuit of American interests taints the action. They're much happier when our military is used in humanitarian/peacekeeping missions or in conflicts that have no national security implications (Kosovo being the prime example). So because Bush chose a vigrous application of American military force in the war on terror, it generated a residual, visceral response in liberals, dating back to the Vietnam protests, that such an action cannot possibly be a moral one.

One of the greatest ironies of post 9/11 is that liberals are defending what they hate most: An ideology that is more Conservative, religious and il-liberal than even the most conservative in this country. Their hatred and ignorance for Republicans and America is so deep, that they can't even understand that if this ideology were to succeed, they and their "progressive" views would become the first vitims in this brave new world.

Islam represents everything that is an anethema to true liberalism...and yet they make excuses, and defend this group who would kill them without a second's thought. This is just more evidence that today's liberals aren't even liberals...and are just anti-American, socialist who would ally with anyone to destroy the USA.

Dimocrats don't hate George Bush for his liberation and nation-building activities:

They just hate him for doing it SUCCESSFULLY!

And making Slick WIllie look bad.

Agreed CWB. I was of the opinion that they were "children left behind" because I just could not believe an entire group was so ignorant of facts. Your thoughts give me a bit different insight.

It is pretty weird that so called "feminists" are in total support of Wahabbi nutcases.
