Please pray for the mother of a wonderful co-worker of mine, Jackie, who is having her second open heart surgery this coming Wednesday. They are replacing a worn out pigs valve in her heart with another and she needs our prayers. She has bad reactions to anesthetics and just a few months ago underwent a hip replacement that resulted in a cardiac arrest and prolonged hospital stay.

She had memory loss with the first heart valve replacement, with the hip replacement and we hope the upcoming operation will not result in any more memory loss than absolutely unavoidable.

Her daughter's name (my co-worker) is Karen and her husband's name is Tony. They are warm lovely people. Karen is a sunny empathetic woman and I have appreciated getting to know her and her family. Thanks for your prayers.

Father God, please lay Your healing hands on Jackie. Please let this surgery be performed with NO problems. Lord we ask that there be no memory loss and no reactions to the medications. Father, please guide the physician's hands, the nurses and everyone who comes in contact with Jackie. Please give them the wisdom to know how to treat her properly.

Father, please comfort Tony, Karen, and all of the family during this time. Let this be a time of renewal and witness of what YOU can do, when we ask.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks for the fellowship of those with whom we work ... thank You for placing such dear people in our lives, and thank You that we can bring one another before the Throne of Grace. This is such a time, O God, for Jackie and her upcoming operation. May it be, Merciful Father, that she would be spared all the complications of previous surgery. Place her into the hands of those who are aware of her adverse reactions ... grant them wisdom and knowledge and skill, that none of this would happen again. May the operation be a success and her recovery swift and sure. Be of great assurance to Jackie's family ... may they rest in You as they await the very best for their beloved mother. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
