ONE SUSAN LINDAUER was arrested today on charges that she acted as a spy for the Iraqi Intelligence service, and accepted $10,000 for the information she gathered. See the full story here.

Lindauer is identified as a "Tacoma, MD woman" in news accounts, which allege that she made multiple visits from October 1999 through March 2002 to the Iraqi Mission to the United Nations in New York. She also traveled to Baghdad in February and March of 2002.

As of April 2002, a Susan Lindauer was in the employ of Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Lindauer previously worked in the press offices of Democrats Rep. Peter DeFazio of Oregon (from approximately May 1993 to January 1994), Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon (starting in January 1994), and Former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun of Illinois (from January 1996 to September 1996).

Lindauer also gave a deposition in the investigation of the 1998 Lockerbie airline terror bombing.

Moseley Braun says that she "doesn't remember" Lindauer. But a spokesman for one of the congressmen confirmed that it was "extremely likely" that the woman in question was a former congressional aide and press secretary for the four Democratic congressmen.

Katherine Mangu-Ward is a reporter at The Weekly Standard.

Yes, it will be hugh.

The traitor has lived in a number of addresses in the Maryland area and the major networks are likely making sure that the same person that worked for all these congressional 'D's is, in fact, this woman.

I would bet Drudge is doing the same.

Susan's deposition on Lockerbie; she claims she was informed from a witness that points the finger at Syrian drug runners, rather than Libyan Terrorists.

Side note, the deposition is hosted on a site, co-hosted with the US Committee for a Free Lebanon that has lots of familiar neoconservatives, Elliott Abrams, Richard Perle, Doug Feith, Michael Rubin, and David Wurmser among others, as lead backers, "Golden Circle." It appears she was a fellow anti-Syria traveler a few years back.

Do you really think the mainstream media isn't going to bury this story? Although I hope I'm wrong, I doubt we're going to see this on CBS, ABC, NBC, or read much about it in the NYT or WP.

"If she had worked for a republican the networks would be breaking into the soaps with the news."

Oh heck yeah!

It'd be the lead in on every network evening news show. PMS would have an 'embed' camped outside her laywers office. DU would be screaming bloody murder...as it is, they are skimming over it.

1. Many sites have the deposition. That doesn't mean she's a neocon or a "cohort" with selected "familiar" neoconservatives.

2. She's a spy.

Here are all the links I was able to dig up in 5 minutes. I'm very pressed for time, but when I heard this spy had worked for Carol Mostly-Fraud via listening to Rush today, I sat down to "google" at the computer for a few minutes to see what I could find.
