Looks like St Joe's is about to fall... so much for ANY undefeated teams getting to the Big Dance!

More of the same to start the 2nd half... now 49-21!

If St. Joes is gonna lose a game, better in this tourney than the next one. Looks like they went cold - I thought that if they had a weakness, it was blocking out on the defensive boards.

Well, this ought to take Xavier off the bubble and put them into the tournament. And it could cost St. Joes their 1-seed as well.

Ho-lee cow! Is Jameer Nelson injured or something?

As much as I hate Xavier (the whole Dayton-Xavier rivalry and all) I have to admit, I hope XU wins and wins big.
Although I am having a hard time not breaking into an FU XU, FU XU! chant.

Downing 22 drinks at halftime is not a good idea for the players - that's usually left to the fans...
(John Kerry won the Al Quaeda primary.)
(Madrid is Kerry's response to the "Republican attack machine".)

Georgia over UAB 18-6... GA has taken 14 shots to UAB's FIVE?!?
To: Teacher317
Err, that's Auburn, not UAB

I've often suspected that teams assured of making the NCAA tournament *want* an early exit from their conference tournaments. Why go through a three or four game grinder the week before the Big Dance? It also helps them financially since the conference can sneak one more team into the NCAA field and divvy up more money for the conference.
It's a win-win for the team and the conference that way. St. Joe's may not even lose their #1 seed over it.

And it could cost St. Joes their 1-seed as well/ Say what? They'll have 1 loss, be in the top 4 of the AP poll, and the committe has shown in recent years that a conference tourney loss does not impact seeding (this was very apparent last year).

Don't laugh. Lots of people don't rate the Atlantic-10 that highly. This loss -might- very well lose St. Joe's a #1 seed.

Say what? They'll have 1 loss, be in the top 4 of the AP poll, and the committe has shown in recent years that a conference tourney loss does not impact seeding In most years, I'd agree with you. But this year, there are 7 or 8 teams with legitimate shots at a No. 1 seed. I think Duke and the SEC Tourney champ (provided it's Kentucky or Miss. St.) are locks for 1-seeds. The other two will depend on conference tournaments, but the contenders include Pittsburgh, St. Joe's, Gonzaga, Stanford and possibly Oklahoma St. If a couple of those teams win their conference tournament and St. Joes gets shellacked by 30+ points today, that's not going to help the Hawks' cause.
To: BlackRazor
If Duke gets a #1 seed, it'll be because of their name. I don't thihk they deserve one this year.

St. Joes is fighting back, but IMO it's too little, too late:

St. Joes should not get a #1 seed. I think other teams have seen enough of them on TV to figure out what they can and cannot do. Their early season success against arguably better teams may have been due to more experience. Once they got by the early season schedule, they didn't play any decent competition for the most part.
I I posted a few days ago, don't be surprised if St. Joes does not survive the first weekend of the NCAA tournament.
