What we do is underload just a bit, and both go for gutshots. I really want the next yahoo to think long and hard before deciding to do something that makes him (or her) a traitor to my country. The US isn't by any means perfect, but it is the most perfect place I've seen, anyway.
I made it through a 24 year career without any glory, I can stand to miss it now that I'm retired. Leave the glory for my young friends, cousins, and their buddies, since we couldn't keep them from having to deal with the bad guys. They wound up with job, we just need to do some cleanup around home, so they have a nice place to come back to.

Actually we would not want any real experts on the firing squad.
I would volunteer and put a patch on my dominate eye. That would make my round/rounds go to the left of center taking out a lung instead of the heart.
