NJ County Right to Life BANNED from St. Patrick's Day Parade, Action Needed!

Please come and join Middlesex County Right to Life in Protest and solidarity on Sunday, March 14th, 2004, at 12:30 pm, at the corner of Rt. 35 and Main St., Woodbridge, NJ, (in front of the Woodbridge K of C building), to watch the Irish Club's St. Patrick's Day parade.
The Middlesex County Right to Life was banned from marching in this parade, being told by the Irish Club parade organizers that they are not religious or political where they implied that the MC RTL was; the NJ RTL/NJ RTL PAC and its county affiliates are non-partisan and non-religious and have backed members of all faiths, ethnic backgrounds in both major political parties who follow a pro-life platform.
The parade is the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Governor McGreevey, along with other pro-abortion politicians (Democrats), march in the parade every year while political grand standing. Since the committee stated that the parade is not political, why then do they allow Governor McGreevey and other politicians to march annually?
Those religious groups such as the Knights of Columbus are pulling out of this parade since they respect the wishes of the Middlesex County Right to Life.
Please come! Also, please forward this email to your pro-life friends and ask them to attend! WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT AND YOUR PRESENCE!!!!!
They made plenty of inane and unsubstantiated comments that their by-laws say they can keep out the RTL like they do with the gays and made some inflammatory remarks about "gruesome signs'" and bombing clinics.
No signs are used in the parade except for the RTL name banner.

The right to life has been marching in that same parade for many years, this yr. being the only exception, if you read the links I posted in the comments on post one, you will see that the nj rtl has been at odds with the nj legislature and gov. for passing pro-abortion laws. Also, the organization "claims" to be Catholic and is allowing Fervent Pro-abortion Democrat Catholics to march, this is an outrage when they disallow the Right to life.
The main reason why they keep out the gays is that it's contrary to Catholic Law, one does not have to do with the other since the rtl is in accordance with Catholic Law and teachings.
Furthermore, how can they justify having fervent pro-abort catholic politicians march in the parade and not the right to life which has been marching in the parade for many years?

Let me get this straight...
A group the organizers fear is a religious group wants to march in a parade held in honor of a religious figure?!
Or do they think Saint Patrick's Day is all about green beer?
As a Scot/Irish Roman Catholic, this makes me want to grab my targe and claymore and have at 'em!
Oh, wait... I don't have a targe or a claymore.

Actually, the solution should be rather easy. Let the Right to Life march within the middle of the Hibernian contingent
and Catholic pipers. Then throw green eggs at the pro-abortion politicians. In the old days, they would have been dry-shaved bald and tarred and feathered.

Actually orange paint sprayed from air hoses might be better.

I side with the parade organizers here. If they allow banners for one issue, they have to allow banners for other issues.

Not necessarily, the Ancient Order of Hibernians portend to be a faithful Catholic organization where they uphold the tenets of the faith. Homosexuality is against the tenets of the faith, a mortal sin to practice and outwardly accept as ok, and that's why they are not allowed to March in any St. Patrick's Day parade anywhere. Pro-life IS a tenet of the faith, the Middlesex County RTL was always allowed to march in the parade as they did last year and many years prior to this, only to not march this year because of the abortion, stem cell and cloning issues recently passed by the democrats where the head Democrat, McGreevey was marching in his Home town. The Democrats were paying back the RTL for their stance against McGreedy.
Many K of C groups were allowed to march with their banners and chose to stand with the RTL on the Corner, other groups march with their banners: scouts, marching bands, VFW, Elks, etc. The banner was not the issue nor allowing groups with banners. It was a spiteful act against the RTL.

Parade date, March 13, 2005 at 1:00 pm
Last year, the Middlesex County Right to Life was banned from marching in the Woodbridge, NJ, St. Patrick's Day parade in 2004. First the parade committee said they were political......then they said they were religious, and then, this Catholic organization stated they (the parade organizers) were secular, LOL, those little devils.
The Knights of Columbus, who traditionally march in this parade, pulled out after much squabbling over whether they should support the county RTL or not.
Most recently,
Woodbridge passed an ordinance prohibiting more than 20 people from gathering together - as pro-lifers routinely do - to stand prayerfully in front of Woodbridge's 2 shameful abortion mills. We all know, this ordinance was aimed at the Pro-Life Prayer Warriors. Thankfully, with the help of the Legal Center for the Defense of Life this ordinance was struck down.
Seems like Woodbridge is working hard to try to get rid of the pro-lifers, instead of getting rid of their disgusting abortionists and 2 abortion mills.
In any case, the MC RTL would like AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE to join them at 1:00 pm in front of the Woodbridge K of C at the corner of Main St. and Rt. 35 on Sunday, March 13th to watch the parade. No signs will be necessary, as pro-life sponge fingers will be provided. If you have a CHOOSE LIFE T-shirt or any shirt with a pro-life message, please wear it.
It is understood and known that the K of C has decided to allow many of their councils to participate in the parade this year, despite the fact that Middlesex County Right to Life is, once again, banned.
Please spread the word and thank you for your support.

The parade should not turn into a platform for every point of view or political passion.IT'S A PARADE ..
