He'll raise them and lower them at the same time, covered all the bases. Raise them a little more than cut them and spend the difference, of course. Not a bad political position to stake out though.

and establish a $50 billion fund to help states provide tax relief for state, local and property taxes for working familiesSure it will - the bottom of the piggy bank with the fund will gather dust for lack of sitting cash.

He'll raise them on the people who create the jobs and we'll be right back in a recession again.

Hey, ketchup man, if we didn't have these goodies when the productive people were paying confiscatory taxes, how much are you going to bleed these turnips to provide them?

He'll raise them on the people who create the jobs and we'll be right back in a recession again. From Kerry's perspective that's a small price for the nation to pay to have him in the White House.

and pledged to retain the Bush tax cuts for the middle class and even add to them. Yea, right. What is he going to say tomorrow?
This will take money from the very people who give us the jobs. (I've never worked for a poor man)

"Ask"? If you don't pay your taxes, eventually they come for you with guns in order to imprison you.
Thanks for "asking" John, but I don't want your tax hike.

I wonder how many people in the USA make $200K and how many will vote for this stiff.
To: SJackson
More than $200,000 a year, eh? So much for all those small business LLC's and sole proprietorships...
Who needs em...hey John F'n Cash-n-Kerry?

John Kerry said Wednesday he will ask Americans earning more than $200,000 a year to pay the taxes they paid under President Clinton...I don't mind him ASKING as long as he doesn't attempt to use the power of the federal government to FORCE me to pay...
To: CommandoFrank
I'm with you. That's what Kerry said, but I need a second opinion. Maybe Kerry will speak up.
There are two of them right?

NOW JUST THIS WEEKEND ONE OF HIS SPOKESMEN SAID HE WAS RAISING TAXES ON ANYONE OVER $300,000 ...
By the time Kerry is done campaigning ... the wealthy will include that guy who works overtime making $50,000 in the Moveon.org commercial ...

Who are the "wealthy" in our country? Who are the middle class. Who are the poor class. What are the income rates that determine if one is in the poor, middle or upper income class.
Anybody know the rates?

Don't you know, Moveon.org is immune from taxes.. it is all part of their 537 status :) (Joking about that actually)
Seriously, having just paid my taxes and since I live in Virginia, I am wondering how he came to the conclusion that anyone making $200K/yr is "rich". Is it because he makes around $156K/yr as a Senator? And is that $200K/yr joint or individual income? Do those of us making less than $200K a year but say, more than $75K/yr get the same amount of childcare, child credit, student loan interest, etc deductions that anyone making less than $75K makes?
The sad thing is people will FALL for this crap.
To: SJackson
Remember, Clinton promised a "middle class tax cut", and gave tax increases to everyone. Kerry is actually promising an increase...just imagine what reality will be.
