Wow, where in the left have I heard that before? It's the phrase you usually hear just before the Constitution is yet again shredded out of good intentions.
It is incompatible. Note where the imam presumed that a Western-educated professor would be converted just by reading an 80-page booklet. This country has no use for the micromanagement of life's minituae and blind, unthinking obedience that Islam demands of its followers. That the author has difficulty reconciling his "religion" with American values every way he turns tells us all we really need to know.
