We have moved the Anti-John Kerry Ads. Anyone that directly linked to them yesterday will need to update their links. This is a permanent location. Please visit http://naspino.com/media to access the videos.
1. We need video editing assistance, people to go through the videos and provide criticism so that they can be fine-tuned to impact swing voters.
2. We need voice over help, especially on the featured video regarding Kerry being the most liberal senator. If you have a good voice (especially an "ominous" one) then Freep-Mail jmstein7 or myself.
3. We need background music help. I'm thinking of ad #3, #4, and #5 specifically.
TOPICS: Announcements
KEYWORDS: ads; anti; awol; communism; criminal; john; kerry; liar; liberal; lunatic; senator; vietnam; war; wrong
I'll go ahead and post some of my observations: on ad #1 the last sound we hear sounds like a busy tone, which would indicate he's busy. Nit-pick I know. Maybe a woman's voice in the background picking up to say John Kerry's not in Washington DC today...
On Ad #2 I think the text fades in and out too quickly. I have difficulty keeping up with the words and listening to Kerry at the same time.
Ad #3 I think just needs some intro-music. Its content is R-rated (Kerry's own words). So I don't know how well it will be to place.
I have problems with the text again on ad #4. There is a lot of white on white. The last line doesn't stay on screen long enough.
Same text issue with #5. Could it be because I'm not viewing it on a television? I think that clown photo should be what we end with. Actually a lot of the ending images are good -- maybe they can move into a corner with the final words around it?

I just took a look at it under Netscape and Mozilla. Internet Explorer is just too smart for its own good. It was handling a comment tag: <!--***--> and Netscape was dying on it until I put spaces between the dash and asterick. Bah. Netscape is dead -- but it works now.

What about legal issues with photo use? I know someone had mentioned a problem with a photo in #2.

Don't worry about it - the way it's done (altered with a "modicum of creativity") is fair use.

Another ad that might be effective is just a white on black message that tells the viewer they have X days to learn the truth about the economy and link them to a site with a neutral name. Then load that site with the truth about how the media has distorted perception.
