PHONY OUTRAGE OVER BUSH ADS --- contact nightly@nbc.com
dfu | 3-8-04 | dfu

Posted on 03/08/2004 7:05:07 AM PST by doug from upland

HERE IS THE ORIGINAL ARTICLE by FReeper dead

Peaceful Tomorrows is a group largely funded by the wife of the RAT weasel running for president. Their outrage over the Bush ads was a setup on the media.

This morning, I phoned NBC news and asked for the newsroom. I spoke with Lauren and she said to send an email. Please join me in sending to nightly@nbc.com

Also, a phone call might be helpful. 212.664.4444, and ask for the news room. For those who were around yesterday, FReepers caused a stir by flooding the NY TIMES with calls.

You have two choices: 1) sit there and complain, or 2) make the call and send the email. If you won't take two minutes to make the call and send the email, I will not take your complaining seriously. It really isn't that difficult to do.

Don't forget your local radio talk host. I've made sure the ones in Nashville and Memphis know. Also got it into FedX via a friend who works there......one email goes a long, long way.

Dear editor(s):

The subject over the outrage over the President's Advertisements that include scenes of September 11th, have made headlines in the news. The problem is that only half the story is being told.

It has also been reported (not by the major media outlets) that the group "Peaceful Tomorrow's", which is supporting the criticism, is funded by Teresa Heinz as well as other anti-Bush lobbyists. The same can be said of the so-called Veterans for Peace activists. If their source of funding comes from opponents of the administration they should be considered a lobbying group. Not the grass roots effort they are portrayed as.

Many news reports read as though they come directly from a press release from a publicist, or Public Relations Department, of a lobbying organization. Please research, investigate and tell the whole story. Otherwise, someone else will, and your credibility as a news organization is diminished. Most people will not take the time to share their concerns with you, they will simply tune out. I sincerely hope your reports will be fair and accurate in the future, as you strive to maintain success.

Sincerely,

A word of advice, as someone who works with the media all the time your letter will get more attention if you don't come out blasting as a proud conservative.

Excellent advice and e-mail in #11, ElkGroveDan!

Mornin' to ya, Doug..FYI..there'sa thread hear someplace about how this whole thiung is blowing up in the Dems face...the ads were a small buy, running in a few states..cost the GOP maybe a few hundred $K..now, they're all over the national media...the equivalent of a multimillion publicity campaign....many Dems think they should stop talking about it..

Will someone give us a master list of phone numbers to newsrooms? I would find that very helpful.

Contacting the MSM about their bias is useless
They do not care about your opinion since they believe themselves smarter and are out to ISSUE you a opinion
Contact their advertisers and tell them that you will boycott
their products/services unless they manage to force the MSM into honesty

Doug..just remeber that the Dems have, since the 200 election, displayed an overwhelming ability to screw things up politically...from the way Gore mishandled the whole Florida recount, to the "wellstone" memorial...up to the big defeat in the Texas redistricting matter..remember, they got a lot of publicity from the walkouts, but look what happened.... ..sometime we can get tunnel vision...their endless lies piss us off..but remember, they'd displayed an uncanny ability to do the wrong thing..

Well, I guess in an altruistic spirit I just want to help them screw up a little bit more. :)

Be nice, but Paul Fahri at the WASHINGTON POST might like to hear from you. He called "Peaceful Tomorrows" a non-partisan group.

202.334.6000

I asked for national news desk and they then transferred me to him. The operator can probably do that directly for you.

Rodger Hedgecock is now talking about the Tides Foundation!

What about emailing conservative columnist like Krauthammer?

letters@charleskrauthammer.com

You will get an autorespond

Thank you for your e-mail to Charles Krauthammer. Be assured that your letter will be read. However, because of the high volume of correspondence we receive, it is, as you can understand, impossible for Charles to answer each submission personally.

If you wish, we could help get your comments to the attention of others as well. We would be happy to pass along your letter to your local newspaper (a) to make the editors aware of your continued interest in the column and (b) for their consideration for publication. If you wish us to do so, please let us know by return e-mail where you read the column.

Thank you very much,

The Washington Post Writers Group

I sent the story in an email and called, but the newsroom is not answering the phone.

What happened with the Coast Guard traitor?
