I wish I could tell you who this Freeper is that came up with this TERRIFIC tagline but I'm much too (BLUSH!) modest. Here is the hard copy one-liner as it appeared in today's Miami Herald. Notice that only ONE correspondent actually complied with the rule of being a one-liner AND pity.

Excellent! Congrats, PJ.

(BTW, it's very pithy, IMHO, rather than "pity" :-) )

I'm with Arlene. Let's amend the Constitution to get rid of Texas. Please. We'll be fine without anyone north of the Red River. Although we would miss many of you.... our aim is improving.

Hey, where have you been? I've been trying to get your opinion on the Howard Stern Brouhaha. I know what a fan you are.

Hey Arlene,

Some of us in Texas might even vote with you on this as long as our new constitution provided that a person from Florida must be able to demonstrate the ability to vote in order to apply for a visa.

Oh and congratulations PJ :')

Although we would miss many of you.... our aim is improving.

That would make a nice tagline itself. :)

As to the first part, won't you need some refugees from the 'peoples republics'(like the NJ one I'm currently stuck in ;-) to repopulate some of the abandoned lands when the liberals go running and screaming for the border? ;-)

to repopulate some of the abandoned lands

I just checked with the missus. We're ok on repopulating. In fact, I'll have to drop off in a few minutes...

Come back home to Texas. The water is warm, the gals are sweet. 8>)
