When any Democrat runs for the Presidency, the press must, at some point, be prepared to say the guy is almost too smart to be President. To the best of my knowledge, this started when Adlai Stephenson was first hammered by Dwight Eisenhauer.

Republicans, on the other hand, require help tying their shoes. I think that may have also started in 1952.

Great coincidence this week that all of the news media decided independently, yet simultaneously, to analyze Kerry's thought and decision-making processes with all of the same tired descriptions that they have been trotting out for every Democrat who runs for the White House.

Funny how they never cite any specific examples (accomplishments) of this great brilliance that they always attribute to these Dem candidates.
