An Open Letter to Sean Hannity Re: "Anti-Semitism"--QUIT PLAYING DEFENSE!

Dear Sean Hannity:
You are a bright young man (but I'm younger). But with all due respect, GET OFF THE ROPES, MAN! I'm disgusted by the fact that so many conservatives are letting the media--and the leftist Christophobes--frame the question, "Is Mel Gibson's movie THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST anti-semitic?"
Sean, I know that you've spent much time answering this nonsense...but...that's the whole problem: the "anti-semite" question is pure nonsense. In fact, you as well as many other tv/radio hosts are spending too much time answering the question without pointing out that it is, in fact, the wrong question!
The real question that needs to be asked is this: "Are leftist Christophobes and Christ haters using Gibson's film as an opportunity to carry out their intolerant, Christian bashing?"
Sean, I realize that you may respond to this by insisting that that's exactly what you've been doing. But I must disagree. If you review the tapes of Hannity and Colmes (and other programs), it may become apparent that, even while you try to point this out with your opponents, the discussions are still dominated by a "No, we're not anti-semitic" theme.
Take off the gloves! Quit pulling punches! And for goodness sake go after those fools. You should have them on defense. The discussions should just as well be dominated by a "No, we promise we are not Christophobes!" theme.
I'm sick of this "anti-semitic" red herring. I mean, P-L-E-A-S-E! When is the last time a guy came out of a screening of "Passion" and said, "Well, I wasn't thinking of it before I saw this flick, but now I want to go kill me a bunch of Jews." That's just stupid. And conservatives entertaining the question of anti-semitism without turning the tables on the leftist goons is doubly stupid!
I know your not perfect, Sean. After all you did support Arnold who supports abortion (which causes death), and then you turned around and blasted the lack of principles of certain Republicans who voted for that medicare bill (which at least does not cause death). Curious double standard, there Sean.
Still, I think you're generally a good guy. The discussions around THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST deserve just better from you, and a few other hosts (Scarborough, O'Reilly, etc.). Play offense, Sean. Play offense.

Can't you envision the Demmy strategy sessions going back to the early days of 2003? The Libs were figuring what images and symbolism would be used by the Bush campaign and had attack dogs primed and ready to go on offense immediately, using the media to feed and propagate the stories. Aircraft carrier landing? Call into question the President's military record. Using 9/11 images in ads? Have aggrieved family members and firefighters march on television to protest. This is a long time in the works and if Team Bush didn't see it, then shame on them. Even Miss Cleo could have predicted this would happen!

This whole issue was started when a "conservative" court decided sodomy was not an issue that could be controlled by legislative action in Texas. States rights (Amendment Ten)was thrown out the window as well as common decency, in the name of individual choice against the common will of the majority. Now we are supposed to degrade the Constitution by declaring that marriage is a union between a man and woman.
"I divorce thee" has the potential to recognize polygamy, marriage and civil union, civil union without marriage, and a constant renaming of various kinds of living and sexual arrangements. Enough nonsense to cover the fact that we have an irresponsible judicial system. Remove the lifetime dictatorship of the judicial system and make a Consitutional amendment reining them in!

Agree 100%. Why do Conservatives always let the left set the debate?
Let the Left-wingers charge them with "Racism" or "antisemitism" they never counterattack but whine about how "their not racist, honest", "their best friends are black", etc. etc. Every attack no matter how absurd is taken seriously.
The left-wing will never, I repeat never, stop calling the right-wing "racists" because it is a no lose situation for them.

"Are leftist Christophobes and Christ haters using Gibson's film as an opportunity to carry out their intolerant, Christian bashing?" It's a good question, tame. If you modified the question by adding "Why" as the first word, it would put the lefties on defense.

Do you have a more substantive criticism than "It's 3:42 am"? That's just flat out desperate and stupid.

I hope you actually sent this thing because I, for one, am getting tired of hearing the whole debate.

Obviously the one directed at me. No, not desperate or stupid, just trying to show a little Christian charity towards someone who writes hysterical vanities in the wee hours on Saturday night.

...Christian charity...Spoken like a true Christian Basher.
...hysterical vanities...
My observations after reviewing your posts: You criticizing my posts, is like Hanoi John Kerry criticizing President Bush's Patriotism--shameless hypocrisy.
...wee hours of the morning...
Who cares what time an article is posted? Is that the best you can do? I get the feeling you would need 37 promotions to be an airhead.
