Rush had a piece on today about this. These family members were using the same lines in their interviews to the media and had obviously been coached by someone. THAT is what is sickening, and NOT Bush for using an historical event that happened during his term as a part of his 'resume'.

GOOD CATCH!!!! I thought there was something smelly about all that "outrage", and look where the vapor trail leads. Don't let the media spike this story!

The outraged families have been outraged for a long time.

Here's a story of one of them leading some protests before Iraq, protests with International ANSWER and United for Peace and Justice.

Where are the network newhounds on this; those fearless defenders of the 1st and 5th Amendments. Where is the "Fair and Balanced" Channel when you need it? If one person can piece this together, why in hell can't major news organizations at least "fact check" their own stories and guests?

Since Rush discussed on his show today, I thought it would be an appropriate Dittohead Ping.

Here's some quick links if you want to pass this info along without all of my commentary:

"It makes me sick," said Colleen Kelly, who lost her brother Bill Kelly Jr., in the attacks and leads a victims families group called Peaceful Tomorrows. "Would you ever go to someone's grave site and use that as an instrument of politics? That truly is what Ground Zero represents to me."

Peaceful Tomorrows
Organized primarily by families of victims, Peaceful Tomorrows seeks to open up a public dialogue about appropriate alternative responses to the September 11 tragedies. Efforts will be made to raise awareness of the complex issues involved in responding to terrorism and influence the US policy towards more effective, democratically-based responses to terrorism in both domestic and foreign policy.

in 2001 the Tides Foundation and the Heinz Endowments, which are based in Pittsburgh, opened the Tides Center of Western Pennsylvania, also based in Pittsburgh. The chairman of the Howard Heinz Endowment is Teresa Heinz Kerry, widow of the late John Heinz, the Pennsylvania Republican senator, and wife of Senator John Kerry (D-MA), a candidate for President in
2004. The Howard Heinz Endowment had 2001 assets of $788,633,056. Between 1995 and 2001 it donated $4,298,500 to the Tides Foundation and Center. Howard Heinz’s father (and John Heinz’ grandfather) founded the Heinz food company, and his wife Vira founded the Howard Heinz Endowment in 1941.

The Tides Center also manages the Youth Gender Project whose goal is to "empower and support transgender, gender-variant, intersexed and gender-questioning youth and young adults." I freely admit, not all of these terms are in my spell-checker.

Grant recipients also include the Iraq Peace Fund that has so far granted $489,000 to 27 groups to promote anti-war marches and their coverage by the news media, as well as the mission of one of those groups, MoveOn.org, whose purpose is to defeat George W. Bush.

We all need to be thankful that Free Republic exists; otherwise, how would we be able to find this out?

I heard Rush play the sound bites of the women all saying the exact same thing. I thought I'd search for those sounds bites tonight when I came across this trail of links from Colleen Kelly and Peaceful Tomorrows back to John Kerry himself.

I apologize to all for posting this stuff that has already been posted. I have been working on this trail all night and when the lightbulb went off while putting the article together, I felt the need to share the info with anyone that would listen. Part of my problem is that this is the first time I've logged on to freerepublic in probably a year and I'm always confused trying to navigate around the threads. Again, I apologize....but please don't let this story die with us.
