I have personally confirmed with the "Special Events" Division of the LAPD that we will be able to exercise our First Amendment rights to peacefully assemble on the public sidewalks
near the NORTHEAST corner of Hollywood & Highland...
...just as we did LAST YEAR at the Academy Awards:

The BAD GUYS have a permit to march from Hollywood & Vine, past our corner, and then around the block - past Hollywood High School and the ARMY Recruitung Station - ending up in front of the Kodak Theatre, where they plan to hold THEIR "rally."
Their "parade permit" grants them FULL ACCESS to all of the streets - AND all of the sidewalks - during the parade.
So, we CANNOT assemble ANYWHERE along their "parade route" - DURING the march.
But, after the parade passes by, the LAPD will begin to re-open the streets to TRAFFIC...
...and re-open the sidewalks to US. :o)

Upcoming

Los Angeles March and Rally
Saturday March 20, 12 noon
Hollywood & Vine

This will be part of worldwide protests that day

Update: 3/5

The march will assemble at Hollywood & Vine at noon. There will be an opening rally as people are gathering.

The march route is:

West on Hollywood to Highland
South on Highland to Sunset
West on Sunset to La Brea
North on La Brea to Hollywood
East on Hollywood to the main rally point and stage, which will be on Hollywood several hundred feet west of Highland.

Confirmed speakers as of 3/5 include Ron Kovic and Fernando Suarez, as well as Radical Teen Cheer. At both rallies there will be music, spoken word, and entertainment, as well as speakers.

There is ample parking on side streets as well as in parking lots, which have reduced rates on weekends. There are subway stops at both Hollywood and Vine and Hollywood and Highland. There are several restaurants and coffee shops near the main rally site. Map
