Barry Amundson is the twenty-something America-hating turd who is behind Peaceful Tomorrows, which is the web site that helped to coordinate this attack on the Bush ad.

Peaceful Tomorrow is paid for with money from Teresa Heinz Kerry.

GREAT research.

Isn't Global Exchange the same group that had a bunch of "scientists" who came out the other day and said the president's policies were ruining the environment and that he was lying about his environmental record?

They were part of some group - Global something.

You do, do such good work. Really sad to see people replace the remembrance of their love one to political games.

Another face of "EVIL" called liberal, lie, twist, pervert and accuse.

Hon,
FWIW I sent this thread to my local Ottawa Ontario radio station. I've heard the wire service "spin" on two issues--the 9/11 ads and the gay marriage ads (i.e., "GW is bringing this up only to appease his base." That may be true, I don't know, but it is true that he does understand that legally, an amendment is the only way).

In any case, here's the email I just sent to the local news talk radio station:

Hi, Mark,
I live in Ottawa and listen to your show all the time--actually I listen to CFRA all day long. I'm a transplanted American and I wanted to bring to your attention a couple of things.

Today, you mentioned that GW Bush is "under fire" for his 9/11 ad. The newswire services have quoted victims who had relatives who died that day; reading these articles, one gets the impression that the reporter went out and quoted people at random, implying that a high percentage of 9/11 victims are angered by this ad.

The reality, however, is far different. A simple Google search of the names of these victims reveals that wire services quote the same four or five people time after time, invariably in a way that is slanted against GW Bush. Indeed, one person has researched the name of one of the victims quoted, and it is no surprise that she was a former Clinton campaign worker.

Click here: Clinton Worker Behind Trashing Of Bush 9/11 Ad

The second thing I wanted to tell you was that you and Rob Snow were discussing, a couple of days ago, President Bush's call for a constitutional amendment prohibiting same sex marriage. I realize that most of the wire services and other media have spun this as "GW reaches out to his conservative base."

This may, in part, be true. However, because of recent developments, he had no choice.

Mayors in a couple of cities in the U.S. (San Francisco, for example) have recently been issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Same-sex couples from across the country have flocked to these places to get married.

I am a lawyer, licensed to practice in the state of Colorado. The Constitution requires that all states give "Full Faith and Credit" to the marriages performed in other states. This means that when same sex marriage is recognized in one state--it's recognized (ultimately) in all. That's why the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act will ultimately be determined to be unconstitutional.....and that's why GW Bush has called for a constitutional amendment.

Whether it passes or not--and it is very difficult to amend the constitution--the President is right when he says, "it's the only way" to prevent same-sex marriages.

By the way, in the interests of full disclosure, yes, as you've probably guessed by now, I am a GW Bush supporter. :)

This is an all-out attack by the Dems. No surprise the Heinz money will be lurking in the background, but watch the ties to the Kennedys (especially Teddy) crop up. Kerry has been a Kennedy pal since his youth, on the family yacht, etc. Those ties go way back, and Teddy will pull out the stops to get him elected.(especially since Teddy blew it at Chappaquidick)

Was this the woman [the age of 70 sounds right per how she looked] who appeared on Hardline and other shows bemoaning the ads, and when asked her political affiliation, looked uneasy and said that she was "an independent"?
