THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) -- Libya acknowledged stockpiling 44,000 pounds of mustard gas and disclosed the location of a production plant in a declaration submitted Friday to the world's chemical weapons watchdog.
Libyan Col. Mohamed Abu Al Huda handed over 14 file cartons disclosing Libya's chemical weapons programs to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, said general director Rogelio Pfirter.

Did any of the cartons say Made in Iraq on them? Also my first thought!!!
or maybe "Made for Iraq"??
To: Pikamax
I'm sure that the UN, through its negotiations, was the party responsible for this admission and disclosure.
It had NOTHING to do with GW showing how serious the US is about global terrorism and our demonstrated resolve in taking out Sadam...
ooh, do I have the leftist mantra down or what?

Odd. I didn't hear anything about this from the dems...Oh, wait. It's not in their best interest to talk about such things as this. Sorry.

LOL ... me too.
Wouldn't it be funny if they came across the 'Libya - Iraq' WMD connection.

The declaration was a major step in Libya's eliminating its weapons of mass destruction, which it unexpectedly promised in December, hoping to end its international isolation and restore relations with the United States."I guess ol' Quadafi finally realizes that it's a whole lot better to have the U.S. as a friend than an enemy.

The amusing thing here...is that there just might be more weapons of mass destruction in Libya...than there ever was in Iraq....and thats a sad commentary on our intelligence capability.

But...but...but we're no safer. Right?

ooh, do I have the leftist mantra down or what?LOL, yes you do. I do not know if this is true, but I have heard others say that another reason the Libyans are doing this, is to try and get Israel to disarm.

True...Just that Libya had not invaded anyone lately. So when we had to make an example of someone, Saddam was the fall guy. The rest of the Arabs got the message.

Modern WMD's are essentially insecticides which work on people. Did you notice how many "insecticides" in precurser stages were found in Iraq early on?
Mustard gas is something you stockpile due to it's nature. Nerve gasses OTOH are not something you keep around in complete form.
I think there is a lot we found in Iraq which just on basic chemistry are hard enough evidence IMHO. The findings however do not meet specific definitions in the UN dictionary and legal gyrations.
We know this to be true regarding the complete mixes. Periodically there are leaks of Sarrin in the repositories America has. One occured not too long ago which killed over 2,000 sheep which were downwind of the release. Iraq was smart in not keeping around "Finished Goods" inventory. The UN is too deliberately dumb to recognize it.

Knowing this, can anyone realistically believe that Iraq didn't have any?
Maybe Saddam was paying Khadaffi to develop and hold them for him.

BINGO
44,000 lbs of mustard gas off the street. Can anyone imagine how much damage just a small amount can do in the hands of the terrorists?
The liberals' lies need to be exposed.

Dear Mr. Bush,
I don't wanna get dragged out of a rathole by a bunch of Marines. Please don't bomb me!!
Sincerely,

Exactly.
Khadaffi was smart enough to realize that.
Apparently Assad of Syria and the Mullah's of Iran need another demonstration -- and don't realize they may be the ones serving as another example of what happens to terrorist and WMD developing nations.
