As a Staten Island New Yorker, I can tell you that this county ( Richmond) lost the highest per capita number of dead and had the highest number of seriously effected persons of any county in America.
When you hear about the rats crying over W's ads keep this in mind. Lurch won't break 20% here, in a county that is part of New York City. I personally know many NY Fire Fighters and I can say: Staten Island fire fighters and most of those in the rest of the city don't vote rat.

I'll be interested in seeing how the vote in the areas surrounding NYC goes this Nov. I've got a feeling the President is going to do pretty well. Glad to see your post regarding how voters feel in the area.
