Asked whether the Bush campaign had asked him to step forward to help quell the firestorm from families of the Ground Zero dead and Democratic detractors, Giuliani added: "I volunteered to do it. When we saw the ads, we called them."

So, it pops right into this reporter's head that Giullani's participation might have coordinated with Bush, did it? Well, to be honest, that's good reporting and I have nothing against it.

However, it does not occur to that reporter that the families protesting the ads might be connected to Kerry and the Democrats and never asks that question. That's rotten reporting and I have everything against it.

Harold Schaitberger, the firefighter union's president, said: "We're not going to stand for him to put his arm around one of our members on top of a pile of rubble at Ground Zero during a tragedy and then stand by and watch him cut money for first responders."

A tragedy huh? No you fargin' idiot! It was an attack! Terrorists attacked us, and murdered all these people because they were Americans, whom they hate. They'd have reveled in your death as much as anyone else that day.

I don't understand why relatives of 9/11 casualties now imagine they get some kind of veto power over the President's campaign messages. What next? My son/daughter was killed in Iraq, so I want a say in our foreign policy? Not to be callous, but I think these people are getting in a bit over their heads. Interesting, too, to note that there are 9/11 families that support the ads. It appears, from what I've read, that there is probably an equal division. But what is the headline? The "offended" ones. Where is the headline of "9/11 Families Applaud Bush Ads"? Gosh, here I thought 9/11 was about a terrorist attack on our country, our foreign policy, national security, etc. My mistake.... just listen to these families: turns out it is all about me, me, me. I dare say 9/11 occurred in what is widely referred to as the "Welfare Capital" of America. People in NY City spend their entire lives with their hand stretched out for welfare and entitlements.

The stock brokers and etc who perished in the WTC collapses were Liberals. It's against the law in NY to be anything but a Liberal. The ads, 15-30 seconds long were paid for but all the media time being granted to Bush apologists is FREE!

Several GOP sources said Team Bush had been warned about the need to tread carefully with Ground Zero images and should have tested the ads with New York focus groups to check for possible trouble.

There are a LOT more folks in this country than just reside in the NYC area. Sept. 11th had an enormous impact on this country, and its direction. If not for it, we most likely would not be fighting in Afghanistan or Iraq, so it is very relevant to who this President is, and what his decisions are.
