***Christ was not all about meekness at all.***

Oh yes he was and I can quote scripture all night long to prove it. You will not win a single convert with wrath and affrontery. I'm no whim. In fact I'm an irrascible sob but that's just me. The Power of the Gospel is Christ crucified and resurrected. Not pushy preaching. Not overly bloody movies.

I think you are missing the point. Gibson made this film, I believe, in order to shock Christians into reevaluating their beliefs and whether they are truly following Christ - by showing us the REALITY of what Christ WILLINGLY accepted for my sin, and yours, and the world's.

I'm not trying to convert you.

You have your own free will.

I think you have chosen the wrong side in this debate but that's your choice.

I personally am ecstatic about those lined up on my side of this issue...it's wonderful langiappe since I liked the movie anyhow and to be honest, I'm enjoying seeing my foes in the culture war squeal a bit...it's about time in my view.

Not too meek of me I fear.

MERCY RESPONDED TO WARDADDY: "...The Power of the Gospel is Christ crucified and resurrected. Not pushy preaching. Not overly bloody movies...

What movie was too bloody? Surely, NOT "The Passion!" Indeed, "The Passion" was NOT BLOODY ENOUGH!!!

According to Isaiah 52:14, "Just as there were many who were appalled at Him---His appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and His form marred beyond human likeness..."

I had no trouble at all recognizing that the actor who played Jesus was a man.

BTW, to All, Isaiah 53:6 states: "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."

Isaiah 53:10 says: "Yet it was the LORD's will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer, and though the LORD makes His life a guilt offering..."

I asked on an earlier post for someone...ANYONE...to show me where in the above Scripture that JEWS are to "blame" for Jesus' death. So far, no one has been able to do so.

Isaiah is VERY CLEAR that GOD Himself CHOSE to have Jesus pay the price to redeem ALL of us!!!!! It's up to each of us to CHOOSE to accept His GIFT of redemption.

"I come not to bring peace, but a sword."
