Gay GOP groups lobby against amendment

By Bob Kemper

Chicago Tribune

WASHINGTON - Gay activists who helped deliver more than a million votes for George W. Bush in 2000 are so outraged the president endorsed a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage that they are setting up organizations and plotting advertising campaigns against the amendment that could undermine Bush's re-election effort.
Two of the largest Republican gay-rights groups, Log Cabin Republicans and the Republican Unity Coalition, have broken with the president, accusing him of turning against gays to rally his conservative supporters.
The potentially vitriolic public debate about the amendment -- which activists said is likely to lead to an escalation of violence and hate speech against gays -- could turn off moderate voters in states where only a few thousand votes could spell the difference between victory and defeat for Bush. |

Did we ever expect anything else from them? Log Cabinettes, and RUC are really Dems in disguise.

What rights are being restricted? Any gay man can marry and lesbian and their partners can do the same. Then they can swap.
Problem solved.

To the Log Cabin boys ... show me a million homosexual couples that have lasted longer than 20 years.
I promise them I can find a million heterosexual couples before they can produce theirs.

Homosexual Agenda Ping.
The Log Cabin Republicans (sorry if you already read this from me or elsewhere) use the name "Log Cabin" because of their sick fantasy that Abraham Lincoln was a fellow same sex sodomy practitioner. They call themselves "Republican" so they can infiltrate the GOP and turn them into homosexual rights cheerleaders.
Kick 'em out. Who cares? Good riddance to bad rubbish.

The Log Cabin Republicans (sorry if you already read this from me or elsewhere) use the name "Log Cabin" because of their sick fantasy that Abraham Lincoln was a fellow same sex sodomy practitioner. Let's say, solely for the sake of argument, that Abe Lincoln was a closet homosexual.
So what?
What did he accomplish that had a thing to do with homosexuality? Every good thing that he is credited with has to do with his actions as a legislator and a chief executive at the most tumultuous time in the history of this country. And he did it all while married and while keeping any queerness under wraps.
So, what lesson do we learn from the supposed great homosexual President, Abe Lincoln? You too, can be a leader among men and a legendary figure respected by untold future generations...as long as you keep your perversions to yourself.
