One of the best things to happen to Jews regarding this whole 'Christ-killing' mentality among some Christians in the past (perhaps in the present, but I don't know anyone who espouses this view) was Johann Gutenberg. With the printing press came the mass production of books, especially the Bible, and the general Christian populace was able to read the gospel accounts for themselves for the first time.

Islam is a replacement religion. They co-opted the Temple Mount, why wouldn't they try to co-opt the gospels, too?
