I've seen .17LR ammo (sampled from the SHOT show). It appears to be .22LR necked down to .17...similar to the .17HMR, but less powder. Very nice.
It's actually necked down from .22LR brass that is somewhat longer than standard 22LR brass.

The .17LR sounds very interesting. I wonder if prices will compare with .22LR?
It's WAY more expensive, due to the production costs of that bullet, the extra step to neck down the brass, and the vast difference in production volume.

OH COME ON!
You surely know.Take a cartridge from your mini 14 and look at the back. The primer is in the center of it,Center fire.
That ban would have outlawed every firearm except the 22.
Kerry's vote should cook his goose with every gun owner in the country.

Good post, as usual, Dan.
This vote sure flushed the liberal cockroaches out of the woodwork, didn't it?
Also interesting to see who some of the 'Nays' were; even Mary Landrieu, D-New Orleans got this one right; what's the old saying about 'blind pigs and acorns'?
Good luck with Little Debbie - how did your state EVER elect her? Shouldn't this vote be publicized to all Michigan's hunters?

49% win for Liberal Debbie in 00. She can be beat in 06.
Unfortunatly the incumbent was a weak incumbent who didn't spend enough time in Michigan, nor have good constitutant services. That's how he lost.
Mike Rogers or Candice Miller could beat Stab.
