No less an authority than Dick Helms, Director of CIA at the time of the attack, believes that the attack was not a mistake.

Being Director of the CIA does not grant Mr. Helms any special knowledge of the intent of the Israeli government. Indeed, given the long history of CIA f***ups and ineptitude, it can be argued that bing the Director of the CIA is evidence that Mr. Helms does NOT know what he is talking about.

Come on, I think Dick Helms is a worthwhile source. In any case, his opinion doesn't "prove" anything, accept that reasonable people disagree on that issue.

None of this changes the fact that our support for Israel should remain strong and constant.
