I hate to sound cynical but a person can go to church on Sunday and still practice voodoo Monday through Saturday. That's the power of voodoo. It's adaptable. The stuff you see on TV is mostly for tourists. Real voodoo is infused in every part of the practitioner's daily life.

I know what you mean, but we lived with some of these folks. They were up before dawn having a prayer meeting each and every day. The church folks we saw lived out their faith, it was the only hope remaining to them. They were an extreme encouragement.

I only had one disturbance. One night as I was trying to get to sleep, I suddenly saw a presence that resembled the Alien creature from the movie. I am not be flippant about this, but I just immediately commanded it to go in the name of Jesus.

There remain some that dabble in both arenas, trying to appear to be christian on one hand and practicing voodoo on the other. I just did not run into it.

I know folks from other teams that encountered the voodoo forces and have chilling tales to tell.

We were there on October 31, our last night, and we had a prayer meeting. It was good.
