Ton Ten Reasons To Vote For Kucinich [Koo Koo & Humor Alert]

Posted on 02/28/2004 9:31:12 PM PST by Doctor Raoul

The following list is real.

It was posted at an unidentified place which we will call for the purposed of discussion, "Bizzaro World".

So everyone, go hang the window curtins on the outside of your house, put your milk in the fireplace and burn a log in your refrigerator just to get in the mood AND LET'S HELP THE POOR SOULS OUT AND COME UP WITH BETTER REASONS:

1) He is cute

2) He really is a Democrat

3) He is not a Member of Skull and Bones Society

4) He is the only one left in the race that voted against the war

5) He is the only one left in the race that favors gay marriage

6) His views are the future views of the party and society

7) He is from a swing state, Ohio

8) He doesn't speak with a forked tongue

9) He really cares about the country and the people

10) He isn't going to win anyway so you might as well send a clear vote at the National convention that the Democratic party is the Party of Liberal Progressive values. Not values of War, Judgement, and hatred like Republican Party.

Q: What's the difference between Cleveland and Cincinnati?

Cinnicinatti got first choice and they elected Jery Springer.

If Kucinich doesn't win, he'll return home and find that the whole state of Ohio has moved without leaving a forwarding address.

His views are the future views of the party and society

Hardly. At any rate, been seeing a bunch of people on another site attacking christianity rather furiously. Something about seperation of church, state, etc.

What I am wondering is this - Religion is a belief system, like any other. A philosophy if you wish. If they truly believe in a complete seperation of church/state then isn't that saying they want no belief systems at all?

The founders were right not to want a state religion, I think we are all against that. But we all get beliefs from somewhere, sometimes from our own reasoning and sometimes from the works of others who have influenced us. If the idea is to not force a faith down someone's throat (Which Jesus himself was against) then why do they believe in forcing a belief they hold down someone's throat? A belief is just what it is.

True freedom is when we let the counties, cities, and so on decide things for themselves. If your school, and the people who pay the taxes for them, are mostly christian and you want a christmas play to honor the holiday which is reflected in your heritage, then so be it. Same with mostly jewish, pagan, muslim areas. This is not forcing a belief system on someone, one could say that disallowing such is forcing a 'belief' on someone. It goes both ways. The common sense way is to let those most directly affected decide.

These same people would claim that it may offend some, or make them feel their beliefs are wrong or bad. The same goes in reverse, if you deny the people, the same ones who built and paid for said schools, the right to express their beliefs through celebration of their heritage then they may feel their beliefs are wrong or bad (and I only use schools as an example here).

We celebrated jewish and christian holidays at my school. My friend, a jewish boy named Mike B., was not bothered by ours and we not by his. We understood there was a difference in belief between us, but come recess time we both headed out to play ball anyway (and we also came in second in the three legged race at our 6th grade graduation party at the park).

The liberals believe kids can choose to get abortions, have condoms, and so forth - but think they are too easily impressionable when it comes to matters of belief/philosophy.

I dunno, just felt like ranting.
