My brother, conservative fellow-in-arms has just successfully completed his final day in a prestigious medical school in the Midwest. As a graduate of the Naval Academy and patriot, he has opted to embark on flight surgeon-training following his internship at Bethesda. He is too humble to post this himself, so consider your compliments forwarded to him, since I will post him the entire mailbox.

Go Navy, Beat Army
To: Flightdeck
Good move if he is single. The flight suit is a babe magnet. Does he get a G-1 leather jacket?

As a former (USAF) flight surgeon, he has my best wishes. Always wanted to know what it felt like to get launched off a cat, although I was glad to pass on the carrier landing. Looked too much like trying to catch an egg on a plate while riding a unicycle on a bumpy road.

Just to rub it in, he blocked a punt and returned it for the win against Army in the sprint football game his senior year at the Academy. GO NAVY!

Hell, I've had Xena's Guy around for damn near seven years, and Xena's Mom tried to set me up with this guy around Christmas.

Enjoy P-cola. Enjoy the honor of wearing a Navy flight suit. Enjoy the career--5 or 25 years. Not much of it is easy, but most is satisfying, on reflection.

Wow. I hope my marriage is as successful as yours. CheersI am a decade younger --- that has helped considerably. Like another poster noted, flightsuits are a magnet for women, and women always fall in love with their doctors. Double trouble. :)

First, congratulations to your bro. Naval Academy AND med school - pretty outrageous. I can't imagine.
Second - what the heck is a flight surgeon - operate on sick aircraft? OR's in the air? MASH-like units? Just curious.
Third - guy-based derision - yea, like most battlefield surgery won't be remote-controlled in the near future. He'll be linking up from his living room and moving the knife with a nintendo controller - lazy bas---d.
