The operation followed Palestinians stoning Jewish worshippers at Judaism's Western Wall

Wondering if Abe Foxman is too busy to notice...

The suicide bomber died from the explosion, but no one else was hurt...

Hot dog! A blew-eyed ragtime cowboy. One blew this way and one blew that way.

Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque, one of Islam's holiest sites

Bullclinton! Some "holy site" -- it's not even mentioned in the koran!

Meanwhile, a suicide bomber riding a bicycle blew himself up near the greenhouse area of Kfar Daron in the center of the Gaza Strip. The suicide bomber died from the explosion, but no one else was hurt, the Jerusalem Post reported.

I guess it would be insensitive to laugh?

So, how bout I just mutter "idiot runined a good bike" under my breath and laugh later.

Every Mohammedan should be expelled, permanently, from the Temple Mount.

It would seem that most journalists are unbelievers as they consistently fail to mention the significance of the Temple Mount to Christians.

Many of the exact locations central to the life and teachings of Jesus are disputable but of the Temple Mount one can be most certain that this is the place where Jesus was brought by his loving parents as a babe in arms for the ceremonial sacrifice of redemption of the first-born son.

Here he was welcomed in ceremony for the first time as a man of the Hebrew nation and used his newly acquired status to sit at the feet of the Rabbis as they taught and to astound all present with the unusual sagacity and probing nature of his questions.

Here the people heard him gladly as he taught in the public areas of the Temple and they witnessed his indignation at the noisy commerce in the house of the God of all peoples.

Here he dared to return with his message of spiritual hope in spite of the knowledge that those in power, regarding Jesus as a threat, plotted his destruction.

And it was here where the tiny infant was welcomed by Simeon, who sang in praise:

"... you, child of promise, shall be called the prophet of the Most High;
For you shall go before the face of the Lord to establish his kingdom;
To give knowledge of salvation to his people in the remission of their sins.
Rejoice in the tender mercy of our God because the dayspring from on high has now visited us
To shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death;
To guide our feet into the ways of peace.
And now let your servant depart in peace, Oh Lord, according to your word,
For my eyes have seen your salvation,
Which you have prepared before the face of all peoples..."

Someday, all will be welcome here, to pray and worship and rejoice.

UPI should put scare quotes around "worshippers" instead of "started rioting"

Sometimes I wonder if that Al Aqsa Mosque isn't the "Abomination of Desolation" mentioned in Daniel 9:27, and again in Mark 13:14?

Doesn't it stand right on top of where the "Holy of Holys" Chamber used to be inside the old Temple?

Isn't the "Rock" it is erected over supposed to be the place where Abraham offered up his Son Issac in sacrifice - or was about to until the Angel intervened and substituted the goat?

What are the Muzlims looking for underneath all of that rubble, do you suppose?

I wonder if they want to find the Ark of the Covenant, so that they can desicrate that, too?

Hopefully, rumors I've heard are true in that it has been found some time ago and is in the keeping of those who were originally intended to have it.

If not, then perhaps we can hope that in the event it ever does fall into the hands of Irael's enemies the same thing will happen as the last time.
As I recall from the Biblical Account, all sorts of weird and terrible things started happening to the Captors until they carefully returned the Arc to Israel in reverent terror.

It seems that when Israel turns from the G-d of their Fathers and their Covenental relationship with Him, they become venerable to military and political defeat... but their enemies usually learn in the long run - and the hard way - that even if they might prevail over an apostate Israel, it is best not to mess with their G-d.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the Morning after the Palis announce that they have the Arc (or some other significant Jewish artifact) which they will destroy unless Israel makes some radical concession, several of their Mosques are found to have fallen in on themselves overnight and about 12,000 of their population wake up dead, and most of the rest afflicted with some mysterious, lethal plague?

D'ya think they'd get the message?

Sure; that sounds like an insane fantasy - but that sort of thing has happened before, hasn't it (if the Law and the Prophets are to be believed, anyway)?

And on more than one occasion, as I recall.

Now I'm no Prophet to be sure; but in simply juxtapsosing Scripture over current events in the MiddleEast, I do get a strong sense of imminence.

And these little "cracks" that seem to be appearing in the Al Aqsa and offices of Israels Magistrates, as well as the tumbling down of these ancient walls come as no surprise to me, frankly.

These events are quite consistant with a developing pattern, and which I believe are communicating a dire Spiritual and Prophetic warning to Israel - both the geopolitical Israel as well as the "Global Israel".

Our common Creator may well be giving his beloved People Israel a gentle tap on the shoulder, here; a "wake-up call", if you will.

And it might behoove the World - and not just Israel - to take serious heed.

The Leadership of Israel will do, no doubt, as they deem best for the interests of the People and their Nation.

But I sort of hope that they keep the Watchmen on what's left of the City Walls focused well to the North, and the People might consider keeping their knapsacks packed and weapons at the ready.

For there may well be a mighty big rumble comin' on down over there, folks - and it could be any day now.

These certainly are interesting times to live in, aren't they?

... And they might be about to get a whole lot interestinger.
