The DVD and video sales are going to be even more phenomenal, I think. I think it will go over a billion when the DVD and VHS sales come in. It will be something that every church has a copy of and most members. It will be shown every year around this time.

I agree, I can't wait to get this one on DVD. MY wife and I very rarely go to theaters, only been twice in the past year. I do however buy 2 to 3 DVD's a month.

Something else to consider: this movie is likely to be a must-see for DECADES!!
Sure, Spiderman was a success -- but how much money will it earn in, say, 2006? in 2016? Probably not bucketloads. But "The Passion"? People are going to be buying the DVD for a looooooong time. And Churches will arrange showings -- probably annually --- for a looooooooooong time.
Give it a bit of time and this little movie is going to be the most successful film in history. Bar none. Let the Hollywood people chew on that.
