Thanks! Here's an article discussing Newmarket's role if anyone's interested.

Who's distributing this movie, anyone know?

No, I can't remember but heard it wasn't the "usual" distributors.

Did I hear him say that if he had it to do all over again, he would not take the role?

Perhaps I'm mistaken.

I didn't hear most of the interview on Rush, so missed that question and answer on this particular program, but I'm pretty sure you are mistaken. I've seen him in other interviews.

That sounds more like what I've heard before, and it is quite different than "If he had to do it over again...".

Thanks for the clarification.

On the other hand, I heard Glenn Beck say that even if you don't think you could stomach the violence, you should go buy a ticket and just not go to the movie in order to support Mel Gibson and make a statement.

I got email from a liberal group I subscribe telling people to pay for a ticket to ANOTHER MOVIE if they want to see the Passion so Gibson doesn't make any money.

Weird strategy. The film's going to make money, no question, and I doubt this tactic will have a substantial financial impact. God is working in mysterious ways; most important here is that they see the truth onscreen.

As a female, I'll never be asked to play the role. But if I were male, I couldn't do it - not even in the church play. In fact, I wouldn't even have let my son (as a baby) play the baby Jesus in a Christmas scene.

I don't condemn those who do (and have two friends who have played the part in various productions), but I wouldn't do it.

Liberals sure are stupid. The theatre will sell you a ticket until all seats are full. If a liberal doesn't buy a ticket to "The Passion" somebody else will. How does buying a ticket for another movie affect sales of "The Passion"?

Why would anyone care if Rush planned an interview with Jim Caiezel?

Yes, he did say that - but that it was a "moot" issue now.

If you want to verify it, Rush just said he would post the interview on his website this weekend.

I don't, but I'm sure that Leftists will try to make connections between Rush, conservatives, Mel, Jesus, Bush, bigots, homophobes, racists, blah, blah, blah. You know the drill.

I live in a small town that has only one movie house. They are showing Moose something and 50 Dates. Will The Passion every come to my town or will I have to go out of town to see it?

Now that I think of it, I've seen lots of interviews by players in movie releases just before and after their movie comes out. Not so unusual, I suppose.

AS IF...

Libs do NOT spend their own money on things, and even though Babs,Ted and the others at Losers, Inc could afford the $50mil it would take to offset this weekend's sales, I highly doubt they (unlike Mel) will put their $$$ on the line.

You wont be sorry. I saw Passion the first showing of the first day and was so glad I went. It is pretty violent but I think that anyone with bible doctrine and study under their belt should be able to handle it with no problem. I am happy to say it has a happy ending, an open tomb with the Christ walking out. Oops, hope I didn't ruin the movie for you by telling you the ending. LOL

Because I am a worm in light of the Master. A Holy God can't even look upon me, were it not for His willingness to cast His eyes upon the Son in my stead. Even the thought of trying to "represent" the Christ makes me feel undone.

[ I've noticed that event the multiplexex check tickets at the entrance to blockbuster "R" rated movies to make sure kids aren't sneaking in with tickets to other movies ]

Kids can be sneaky.. sometimes... hopefully...d;-'

Folks should thank Bob Berney at Newmarket who either had guts or foresight or both.
