An equally strong argument could be made that Pryor's "standing up" for the law was an act of pure political calculation as was his support for Riley's bone crushing tax increase in Alabama.

I wonder if O'Reilly would like to see Roy Moore and Gavin Newsome sharing a jail cell in a Federal Prison?

I concur. O'Reilly points out that the rule of law in the US is in the eye of the beholder. Sadly enough, the beholder in charge of the news media is FAR LEFT WINGERS THAT RUN OFF THE ROAD!

Fact: In 2000, California voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition 22, the state's Defense Of Marriage Act.

The people of Alabama elected Roy Moore to the position of Chief Justice, knowing that his platform was to restore the moral foundation to our rule of law. At the time of the controversy, 77% of the public "either approved or strongly approved of the monument". Furthermore, 65% said that "they would vote for him if he sought re-election as chief justice." But the will of the people means nothing in our government anymore. Our constitution is also meaningless--rights are inserted (Lawrence v. Texas) or removed at the will of often just one black-robed thief. Again, over 80% of the American public do NOT want marriage re-defined the way it's currently headed, but that means nothing to judges in Massachussetts or California.

The system no longer works because one side tries to work within the law--even Roy Moore wanted a straight answer as to why he was legally wrong, and they couldn't give it to him (which is why they had a closed 'trial' at which he was removed from elected office), the other side cares nothing for law. And they do not care if and when this nation collapses in on its own depravity. If we do not confront them and force them to abide by our expressed laws and our constitution, we become co-conspirators in their deeds of sabotage.
