Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The parents of Holly Peterson, who died after using a checmical abortion drug she obtained from Planned Parenthood, say they believe the number of women who have died after using the abortion pill is "widely underreported."
The statement comes after a state health agency found that the abortion business and a medical center that treated Holly before her death improperly reported Holly's abortion death to authorities.
"We are appalled by the lack of reporting and accountability of Planned Parenthood and ValleyCare Medical Center to report Holly's death to the State of California DHS," Monty Patterson and his wife Helen said in a statement Wednesday.
"If hospitals and abortion clinics don't feel they should be responsible to report a death to the state, what makes the FDA or the drug manufacturer believe they will consistently and accurately receive reports on adverse events or deaths related to drugs," the Patterson's added.
A report released Tuesday by the California Department of Health Services in their investigation into the death of Holly Patterson reveals that Planned Parenthood failed to follow its own internal policies for informing women on how to use the RU 486 abortion drug that was responsible for Holly's death.

It is not the nature of murderers to report to authorities those they kill.

There's at least one death for every abortion.

The rest of the article:
The state health agency said Planned Parenthood of Hayward did not have Patterson sign one of the three forms the abortion business says it normally requires women obtaining chemical abortions to sign.
An Alameda County Coroner's report confirmed that the use of RU 486 resulted in an incomplete abortion that led to uterine infection and caused Holly's death.
According to the Contra Costa Times newspaper, the Pattersons said that there is a systematic problem in the procedures associated with the use of the abortion drug.
"The FDA needs this reporting information to monitor and evaluate the safety of the drugs they have approved," Mothe couple said.
Serrin Foster, president of Feminists for Life, wondered what other policies and prodecures Planned Parenthood doesn't follow.
"Abortion clinics fight 'Women's Right to Know' laws. They resist clinic inspections, regulations and reporting requirements. Abortion providers oppose parental notification," Foster exaplined.
"The state of California -- and other states -- should inspect these clinics and see what else is going on wrong before more families lose their vulnerable young daughters," Foster told LifeNews.com. "Women's lives are at risk."
Brian Johnston of the California Pro-Life Council agreed.
"It is almost repetitive to say it, but the abortion industry has no regard for human life," Johnston told LifeNews.com. "To go, as a patient, to a clinic in the business of killing is far riskier than getting a tattoo or an ear piercing. Yet these and other, milder procedures require a parent be informed."
ValleyCare spokeswoman Kathy Campbell told the Contra Costa newspaper that the hospital reported Holly's death to the Alameda County Coroner's Office as required.
"There needs to be some serious reform. Right now I don't think there are really any kind of consequences," Patterson said.
Until abortion businesses are better held accountable for abortion deaths, prolife advocates say, women will continue to be hurt by abortion.
"Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry only thrive because of what people don't know about what is happening," Johnston concluded.
