LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- President Bush's ratings have fallen among Michigan voters in the past two months, as worries about the economy and the war in Iraq raise doubts about his role as the country's leader.
Thirty-seven percent of the 600 likely voters polled Sunday through Wednesday by Lansing-based EPIC/MRA said the country is going in the right direction, while 53 percent say it's on the wrong track and 10 percent were undecided.

Worth repeating:
2000
Gore 51.3
Bush 46.1
This Poll
Kerry 49
Bush 45
So Bush is doing the same or BETTER than he did in 2000, according to this poll. And that's with continuing high unemployment in Michigan and constant hammering and bad PR courtesy of the Democrats.

Bush wont win Michigan Maybe he will, maybe he won't. I'll say that if he wins Michigan, it'll be part of a fairly substantial win -- 300+ EVs.

But, but, but, but, didn't a recent CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll give Francois Kerry a double-digit lead so solid, the Massachusetts liberal may well have already defeated Bush in November? ;-)
To: ambrose
btw, February polls are always reliable...don't believe me, eh? Well, recall how Gallup predicted Reagan's 9-point defeat to president Gary Hart in '84 as early as March.
