Trinity bump! It's a liberal place, but they bring in great speakers of all kinds. One reason I went there was because of the lecture series ... saw Milton Friedman, Jeane Kirkpatrick, and WF Buckley in the same year!

One reason I went there...My wife and I also went there and graduated a couple of years ahead of you. I saw Kissinger's lecture at Laurie -- very inspiring, it was.

I may have to make this lecture. The last lecture I attended was Stephen Ambrose at Schreiner Univ. here in Kerrville about a year before he passed away. Brit would be worth the 70 mile drive.

Several of us are driving from Austin. Now that's getting close to 70 miles also. Would be fun to have a mini FR get together.

I assure anyone attending this speech that it will be well worth their time.
Brit Hume is BRILLIANT.

Fred Barnes Keeps ole LIBS Mara Liasson and Mort Kondracke honest ! Mara Liasson -- LOL, I haven't thought about her in a while...her career in decline or something? She used to be a Washington Week in Review regular. She'd practically hiss when conservative subjects came up, and she was practically lit up like a streetlamp (the one she practices her journalism under) during the discussions about the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado -- she could barely contain herself. Her eyes would have glowed in the dark -- I wouldn't have been surprised to see her leap from her chair, foam sputtering from her mouth, screaming "YESSSS! YESSSSS! IT'S TIME FOR GUNNNN CONTROLLLLLYESYESYESSSSS -AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!"
NPR troll.

Juan Williams is on there now and then, too. He makes Mara look like she's
very much under control. He's an NPR person too, I think.
