Poster Ripping Osama Removed at Shippensburg U.

You would think nobody would object to a poster denouncing arch-terrorist Osama bin Laden. But Pennsylvania's Shippensburg University did.

The school said the poster violated a university code prohibiting "acts of intolerance," including racist, sexist and homophobic speech.

It wasn't clear where the anti-Osama poster fit into this, but it no longer matters. The school is changing the code after a ruling by U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III, who said the restrictions "could certainly be used to truncate debate and free expression by students."

However, depicting President George Bush as Hitler is perfectly acceptable...

As a FACULTY member, I have a 3" x 5" head shot of Osama, mounted right on top of a TARGET that, two years ago for ROTC, I put 5 rounds in the bullseye. The target forms Osama's "body" in this case, and this is TAPED TO MY OFFICE DOOR!
