No, he should do GK Chesterton's "Ballad of the White Horse", aka the story of Alfred the Great and the Danes. He was made for that story. Christianity all but snuffed out by an invading plague of cynical pagan vikings burning and pillaging everything they can find, down to a handful of men, comes roaring back in one last battle - at the end of which, the viking commander is so impressed at the spirit behind that kind of courage, he converts. Actually happened, look it up.
