well... there's "liberal" and then there's "Liberal"

A liberal person is generous with his own money, tolerant of attitudes and behavior which causes no harm and infringes on no one's rights or property, and has a cheerful outlook on life.

A Liberal is generous with YOUR money, tolerant of no attitudes or behavior which harm his agenda or defend your rights and property, and has a generally dour and humorless outlook on life.

See? Big difference :)

It is the difference between the classical definition of liberal and the modern. Thomas Jefferson was a classical liberal.

The modern definition is nothing but totalitarianism, communism, and socialism.
