Little Tommy has grabbed the mike (and raised his stool).
He's pulling back from Boxers ammendment.

Aren't there more repubs in the Senate now than dems? Why are the dems the only ones up there. It almost feels like our side doesn't care.

Amend 2621 -
Broken laws can move forward. "Product Liability". Immunity of straw purchases removed. Trade associations (missed that).

"Why are the dems the only ones up there."
Attempt at filibuster maybe? Buying time so that the media can spin something or so they can fabricate another Columbine/sniper?
"It almost feels like our side doesn't care."
They have been neutered, they are afraid to be called mean spirited or whatever.

It may have been because no one wanted to follow Boxer's, "Save the Children' screed.
What the heck does Indians, Indian land, etc have to do with this bill?
Now going off about the Indian Trust Fund. Hasn't mentioned how Clinton looted it.

Can anyone else tell Daschel is running for RE-ELECTION this year?
To: TC Rider
What the hell is he doing? Is he attempting to use up debate time so the bill won't have ammendments?
Is he acting pro-gun?

Days like this, with completely unassociated riders attached to bills, makes me wonder why the founding fathers didn't prevent this in the first place.

Back then, even ideological enemies had things like "honor" and "integrity". These days, those are just words you dust off when running for re-election.

Ahhhhh
There should be NO VOICE VOTES on these issues.

Remember that guy in New York that got attacked on a subway by a guy wielding a screwdriver. Of course he pulled his weapon and blew the thug away.
You can kill a person with a piece of aluminum foil. The conclusion you would think people would come to is that it's the PERSON that's dangerous not the METHOD.
Dems just don't seem to understand that.

The dems are going to load this bill w/ so many amendments it won't get through the House.
To: Dead Corpse
Have any amendments been passed on 1805 thus far?
Mike
To: OXENinFLA
I hope they do WAYYYY over play the hand so it'll crash and burn. I think that's their tactic now.
That's fine, I'd rather have no bill than have more AWB
