The president has "tried to divide this country in order to advance his political career by messing with the Constitution,'' Newsom said This from a guy who is actively breaking the laws he swore to uphold!
The audacity is unbelieveable.
I saw him on H&C; what a weasel. Can somebody tell me what HE is getting out of all this?

"It is a terrible day because of what the president of the United States has decided to do to divide the United States of America. That, I think, is shameful."
This piece of trash condemning the President has no concept of what the word shameful means!
I read the other day that he is Ed Asner's nephew - so that might explain his lunacy.

LOL, Newsom is the perfect mayor for San Fransicko.
And when he's all used up, the city can go back to the same bathhouse and find another mayor just like him.

Gavin Newsome = Mayor of a modern-day Gomorrah.
George W. Bush = President of the United States and Leader of the Free World.

The dip-weed mayor doesn't appreciate that Bush isn't even attempting outlawing what he did. Bush wants this to be a true state rights issue what is done in SF doesn't have to be honored in TX.

Anybody else here from California? I have been listening to this on talk radio stations - lots of people are against what Newsom has done, and a lot of them think this hurts the dem's chances of beating President Bush this November, so-called "handing" the election over to President Bush.

"Any Twosome Newsom" will find that in the rest of the country the 5% that are queer don't have the stroke they do in San Francisco. He thinks the country is "divided" over this? What a joke.

I can't believe people of good conscience, from any ideological perspective, can honestly say that the Constitution should be used to take rights away from people, when the Constitution was conceived to advance the rights of people in this country...Given the problems he is having with the concept of being a nation of laws and the purpose of representative government, he might consider passing on public comments on the Constitution.

I wonder where that finger has been lately?

It is Newsom and the Massachusetts court and other lawless liberals trying to impose their extreme left-wing sexual mores on the rest of society that are divisive.
To: demlosers
I love how these libs accuse anybody who doesn't approve of gay marriage as "dividing" this country. Their idea of inclusion is shoving their values down out throats and telling us to shut up and take it.

If anybody took the time to research our founding fathers of this nation, they would find out that they were men of God,praying and seeking guidence from God's Spirit, the Holy Ghost! Sadily many politicans have no clue to the fall of man, due in effect when they sin against God! If we allow our morrals to decay due to the sodomites, and the whore mongers, the lezzies! Our country will go down the tubes the same way in Rome, and in the bible regarding Sodom and Gomorah! Being a sodomite is an abmonitation of God! Look people what happens when you allow a society to perform un-natural acts with same sex! This will destroy our nation as we know it! If our country allows this to continue, you will see even more vile sexual acts being performed in public! hey you do not believe me, go to San Francisco! Go take a gander, and imagine what will happen to children being raised by same sex partners! The children will not have a proper identiy! They will be even more grostegue in there up bringing! Hey you do not believe me? Go do your on research! You will see, when you have a moral decay of a civilization, you have confusion, no right, no wrong, anything goes, these same people have un-natural acts with there own children, and animals! Go read the bible, go to the book of Romans, read it for yourself! Missionary David Galindo

"Today, President Bush has chosen a path that runs counter to our nation's most cherished values of freedom and justice."
He has the gall to say this when he's breaking our laws that he was sworn to uphold? Why is he still walking around? Why hasn't he been arrested?

Newsom is a disgrace. The part that angers me is that he is quite representative of the way liberals view the average American. They believe they can trample over our laws, tell us how to think, and force us to like it. I am getting to the point where I am tired of caring what these people say and think. If we are to have any hope for preserving our way of life, we must become more aggressive in the political arena.
The Marriage Amendment is definitely a good start, but let's try not to stop there.

This from a lawbreaking, disgrace of a public official who, along with rogue judges in Massachussetts, actually did ignite this debate.
It's outrageous this idiot is still in office.
To: demlosers
Brave words from a man pandering to homosexuals in a city that is 50% soddomite.
He should take care of his cities real problems, homeless, infrastructure, fleeing business, oppressive business regulation.
But nooooooo, he wants to defy black letter state law instead.
