Lettor to the Editor(s)

I am livid!!!! I just found out from my daughter that she has been forced for the last two days and will have to continue again tomorrow to watch the lying communist documentary by the liar and traitor to this the greatest country ever, the United States, entitled “Bowling for Columbine”!

I have “tolerated” her statements to my daughter and her classmates, that...”President Bush did not win the election, that he stole it, that Gone With the Wind was the biggest farce of a movie ever because the battlefield scenes never happened, and white women were not terrified , tormented, raped and murdered!

I have not sent my children to school to be indoctrinated to become lying, stealing cheating communists! I refuse to pay the salary of any such so called “educator, threw my taxes. I demand her immediate resignation! She should be used for an example to all other such like minded so called educators!!!!

Good for you. You are in for a long haul, but do make it perfectly clear that if they try to make your daughter a scapegoat, you will make their lives miserable. If there is one in your state, I suggest you find a parent's rights group like the Pacific Justice Institute. Just write them a letter, and keep them informed of the school's actions. If the school violates your rights as parents, they will back you up 100%.

If you can, keep records, dates you spoke with school officials, what they said, what you said. You may need them.

Also, sometimes local newspapers will pick up on controversy to sell papers. This can be a two-edged sword so you have to be careful talking to them, but exposing the agenda of a school to the public can be an important step toward change.

Well, here is kind of an update to this thread. First I did call the principal, and he expressed concern, yet he is the one that approved the showing of that blasted pack of lies. I did call the WV chapter of the NRA, and had been awaiting material from them....I finally got it and I was gravely disappointed! They sent me material for the ages of 2nd and 3rd graders!!!!!! Boy the teacher and a room full of 17 and 18 year olds would have loved me bringing that material in to have shown as counter to "Bowling for Columbine"! Oh, well.

However an edited version of my letter was posted in the Beckley Register Hearld on our around March 4th or 5th. Today, there is a retort to my letter, which I will post below. I will also provide contact info on how to contact the editor as I will find it almost impossible to find the individual's email address that wrote this wonderful piece of literature! (LOL)

'Bowling for Columbine' highly educational

In response to Sheila Davis' recent letter .. it was obvious that Davis has never seen the documentary by Michael Moore, "Bowling for Columbine."

This highly educational film brings to light many issues, but the one that seems to stick out the most was guns do kill people ... and our system is set up to make you think guns are good.

If you would have watched this wonderful film, you would have been shocked to find out that people in Canada live with their doors unlocked and there are very few murders with guns. In fact, it shows one of our large cities that is directly across from one of the Canadian cities. The crime rate is almost zero in Canada; the U.S. city has a very high rate of crime.

Davis claims she will not pay the salary of educators through her taxes ... You cannot control where your tax dollars goes. Do you think they will take your tax dollars out of that school system?

My hat is off to the teacher who allowed the students to see the real life with the use of this wonderful film. This film is one of the most requested at video rental stores.
