She is a beautiful talented actress. But looks like many other actors and actresses she can't keep her mouth shut. So, she is lefty as practically all of them. Big deal. I'd be more surprised if she was not. If we are going to avoid movies based on what the actors, or directors, or producers, or studio moguls said, it will be nothing to watch, period.
Its interesting that talented people doing honest job still can produce movies that are true, even its not exactly what they would say politically.
I think we developed undue respect to actors. Somehow we attach more significance to what they say than they truly deserve. Their worth as actors is in impersonating on stage or in film a character and presenting him/her to public so we can see the character as a real person (mostly in accordance with the vision of the character's creator- writer, producer, etc.). This is a quite rare special talent, to force the viewer to forget the actor and see another personality in front of us. But this talent has nothing to do with another human qualities like intelligence, kindness, wisdom, or practically anything else. [Resent movies demonstrated that beautiful can play ugly, tall people can play short people and skinny can play fat, although I did not see an opposite]. All the actor has to do is to be a perfect chameleon. No more and no less. There are wonderful actors who I avoid to listen because they can't say a single unscripted word. When some can speak smoothly, it's often asinine.
