Prayers are needed for Brother Dix as he is about to go into surgery.
He had an automobile accident this past Sunday night and broke his leg. Thank God for airbags as his BMW was totaled. At least he gives as good as he gets, the other Beemer was totaled too.
Unfortunately it is his good leg that was injured so it is going to be even more difficult during recovery.
Please say a prayer and I will post additional information as it becomes available.

I just got off of the phone with Dix. He is in the main Herman hospital. He is a fighter and is in very good spirits!!!
He could not have the surgery today as his doctor had surgery's that ran past their projected times. He is scheduled for Friday.
He sounded good as this is an injury not an illness, but he needs support. We will pray him better.
Please hit your ping lists!

So this surgery is to set his broken leg?
Well, since he's at Hermann, and I am a total fan of Dr. Red Duke (he was my dad's doctor for a year), call Dr. Duke and tell him Gloria said he needs to set Dix's leg ASAP! Duke can do that with his eyes closed and do it better than anyone else!
(Still praying!)
Bobby D, if you see him tell him we're rooting for him to get well FAST.)

How about midnight and I'll bring the beer? Heck yeah, I've got some rebar on the patio we can use.
We've got to get brother Dix fixed up, this is simply intolerable!

I don't have any rebar, but what I DO have is a six-and-a-half-foot dymondwood quarterstaff. Stronger than almost any other hardwood. I also have ample supplies of sudsy product. Will that help?

May God watch over your brother and give you and your family peace. May He guide the doctors and nurses, and use His awesome healing power to help your brother, in Jesus' name.

Dix Update: I just talked to brer Dix and they have bumped up the schedule and he's going into surgery this morning! He should be done by noon.
I'm gonna try to go see him this evening.
