Actually Indie, the Islamic Religion is very subject to hijacking since there is no ultimate translation.
I've read 4 different translations of it. I'm no personal fan of any. The point though is since M.E. is kept is a 3rd world status....and classes of the population is kept illerate, it is a powerful brainwashing tool.
An ultimate translation and leader would eliminate the 'go blow yourself up for Allah' part.
Have you noticed the recent splintering of Christianity over the past decade or so? Have you ever read any of the 'new and retranslated' bibles?
I've read several. I would never know they were translated from my King James.
*Foreshadowing*

But I don't believe the problem with Islam is the translation...I believe it is the message. I studied it [force-fed] it in college with a liberal [of course] religion prof and have several "friends" at work who are Muslims. I practice my Arabic on them. Freaks 'em out. Especially when I told them happy new year 1425. Looked like they'd seen a ghost.
