Hi Cal, I'm hardly savvy on anything, especially physical geology, lol. I am fascinated with quakes/geology much as kids are fascinated by dinosaurs. There are some on FR who are very savvy in all thing geologic though and hopefully they will edify us(Blam, here's your cue to pull in your fellow geologic freeper brains,lol.)

I did note that cluster that comes out of southern California and sandwiches Granny down there in Kingsman. I also noted the cluster up near the Seattle area which is a potential problem and the two little quakes around New Madrid. This continual clustering has to be raising some eyebrows but I would bet those geologists will really start flinching if/when the clusters suddenly stop and all seems quiet.

And for all we know it was a mindshaft collapse though 6.5 sounds too high for that (but what do I know,lol, maybe if the ghost of Tesla was haunting that vicinity...)

Kingman is not on the earthquake maps that I have seen, but Bullhead City (35 miles)and Needles (75 miles) are.

The fault line runs from 29 Palms, through Las Vegas. (from my puny memory).

I am maybe 3/4 miles from the Cerbat /Hualapai Mountain range and there is a small fault there, it may be the Bell fault, if not, then I have forgotten the name.

Golden Vally is approximately 18 miles wide on Hwy 68, it runs from the Cerbat Mountains to the Black Mountains and both have a fault line.

My mountain side property was on the fault, I had to turn my bed, as there were so many that it was going across my body and uncomfortable.

The last 2 mornings, there have been long lasting vibrating quakes, lasting long enough to make you lay there and feel them.

When there is a big quake in the 29 Palms area, I feel it here.

I will no longer hang glass fronted pictures at the
head of my bed, as the morning of the big Hector quake, I woke up to the big one swinging back and forth, it didn't take me long to decide that I didn't want it to hit my head when it came off the wall.

Once I was in the above ground parking building at the Flamingo Casino in Laughlin, when a good shaker hit, I have never parked in a multi level garage, since that day.

It is not surprising that the quakes are coming, 4 days ago, I was shaking with cold and now for 2 days it is 70 degrees.

I think that sudden changes in temperature, brings on the quakes, plus last week we had 3 days of rain, off and on.

The unusual weight of the water may also cause the earth's plates to shift.

Anyone can make a guess that is good, as the real truth is not known and it is all "that person's opinion".
