I wonder what the raptor population is like up in the area of those dead elk....they have a good range to spread something...I'm guessing golden eagles and peregrine falcons.

Raptors are moving in to their breeding grounds right now. I don't know if you remember the post I made several threads ago about peregrines wintering in Mexico and migrating as far north as Alberta to mate and raise young?
