I was reading something yesterday about using migratory birds to transmit diseases.Yes - it gives us a whole new perspective to putting seed in our bird feeders and the cleanliness of the rails on our decks with avian bird flu and who knows what else they carry on their transitory little flights. Bought some Deet for the mosquitos - West Nile can't be far behind the melting snow and those of us who plan to work out in our yards and gardens as soon as the weather warms up a bit.

I'd rather wait for a nice breeze before putting that on but if I must for mowing purposes I will and then wash it off immediately. That stuff has been linked to health problems from the last gulf war.
