The last long intense 'long dark night of the soul' about 20 through 25 years ago . . . about all I could seem to shake loose from God regardless of hours and hours of prayer and days and weeks of fasting was:
"HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND!"
Took me a long time to get beyond hating that Scripture as well as "This is the day, This is the day, rejoice and be glad in it . . . " song.
I pray I can stand wherever He has me to stand. It will certainly be in His strength that I can do it at all. I don't think I can breathe without His constant intervention in my behalf.

My lifelong friend of 40 years has been caring for his Mom, who is in her mid 90's. She's had Alzheimer's for about a decade. He cares for her so well and so loving and he has learned to joke about her not knowing who he is. He amazes me Q! I told him I do not know how he does it. He said I've been to Nam and this is nothing and I love her.
Amazing!
