Loftus said it was unclear, but Egypt just seemed to pop up here and say "oh yeah, we have Zawahri's brother". did they announce this three years ago when they caught him? or at any time before now? was there a thread for that FT article you posted?

Loftus was quite excited tonight, saying that "stuff was happening". But he won't be back on until Monday, unless he does the Eric Shawn FNC Sunday morning show.

On Zarqawi, there is an audiotape that claims to be of Zarqawi on the net now. I'm not familiar with his voice so I can't be of much help with authenticating it. It's the usual rhetoric and incitement to jihad stuff.
