February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

Strange story. Just add it to the unsolved mystery pile.

Does that sound like a probe of the system, to you? Maybe testing to see how long it took before the bottles were noticed?

Maybe I am looking for unusual events; but how often would it happen that a plane would blow all eight tires while landing?
FedEx Cargo Jet Blows all Eight Tires While Landing at Lauderdale Airport

FORT LAUDERDALE No injuries or major delays were reported Thursday morning after a FedEx jet blew all eight tires and blocked a runway while landing at the international airport.
The A-300 Federal Express cargo plane was landing around 7 a.m. when the tires blew out. The crew of two used an emergency chute to evacuate the plane after stopping it and locking it down

Yes, it's as if, "if CNN doesn't report it, it didn't happen." My Lord. It's almost sinister how the news media slants things the way they want it to be. I'll not be surprised when they actually take that final step and MAKE UP the 'news' and report it as fact.

I just don't understand why they're having such a hard time connecting the AQ-MO dots!

Just out of curiosity, did the fruit vendor ever resurface?

That's not right. Did they run out of runway? Why did they use emergency equipment to get out of the plane? This doesn't make sense. I know Fedex pilots can be hotdoggers, but this is ridiculous.

Love your term, "Politcal Pagans". Very apt. May I borrow it? I'd be honored. Your compliment has inspired a new tag line.

He never did resurface. Over the course of the last couple of months I've even gone out of different exits at Penn Station to see if he may have moved to another corner.

Back in August when I first heard the story that's exactly what I thought. Once the FBI was involved it seemed more definite. Considering recent news and warnings, I wonder if there were similar odd activities in subway systems in other cities.

Because that would be the same as stating defeat!
Trillions have been spent worldwide on security and it did not stop the attack and there appears to have been no advanced warning from the Intelligence Community. If enough of these happen some more governments may be in trouble including our own, when the people believe they can't be protected.

My guess would be they slammed it down so hard that the tires popped - the undercarriage will take that abuse but not the tires. And the crew would bail as there was probably lots of smoke and sparks.

back on topic Goodbye Daleel Almojahid Though we never really knew you at all You had the grace to hold yourself While those around you crawled The Islamists crawled out of the woodwork And they whispered into your brain They set you on the treadmill And they made you change your name
And it seems to me you lived your life Like a candle in the wind Never knowing who to cling to When the rain set in And we kuffars would have liked to have known you But you are a mujahid....... Your candle burned out long before Your legend ever did
Loneliness was tough The toughest role you ever played The internet created a superstar And pain was the price you paid Even when you are martyred, Oh the press will still hound you All the papers will say Daleel the holy warrrior that Al Queda fooled........
Goodbye Daleel Almojahid From the posters at It Happening Who sees you as something as more than a murdering thug More than just our Daleel Almojahid......

Hotdoggers! LOL. Sounds like somebody messed up. It might take a few days but I can get some information about it. :)

Thirty water-filled plastic bottles were found in the tunnels overnight Monday. And now SEPTA spokesman Richard
Maloney says another 32 were found the following night. The investigation by both SEPTA's transit police and the city police and F-B-I continues, but as it progresses, Maloney says, officials are coming more and more to believe it's a hoax or prank -- not criminal activity. Authorities can't explain yet why the bottles of water have been left in the tunnels. Most have been found on emergency lights or near emergency exits.
It could be practice runs for bottles filled with "something else" at a later date. - i.e., A study of how easy they are to place? How long before someone noticed?, etc.
A "hoax or prank" of this type should result in jail time. This is not a day and age when this kind of thing can be taken lightly. We are at war and the enemy is on our shore. I think Tom Ridge should make a public statement to this effect.

Hi Everyone. I've been away for a while and I'll never be able to catch up on this thread. I'm glad it's still going. Great job folks.
I'm still busy as can be so I'll only be checking in from time to time. Thanks to all for keeping watch. Even though I've so much to do these days, I stay ready.
Prayers out to all for safety, good health, and much happiness.
